ABOUT FLOWTOWN.

What would you call an association of artists, filmmakers, and performers if not neighbors and friends?  We gotts HD and we're making movies; viral / transmedia / short-form / guerilla storytelling are all good ways to describe what me and my pals do in FlowTown. “It takes a backyard.”

Principals:

MoDMaN – After six years as the Creative Director and Sr. Art Director for National Lampoon, MoDMaN returned to the production of his own projects in 2006. Some of his recent work includes: directing brand videos and research docs, his second book for National Lampoon Press, a seven-episode animation project, photo based print projects, and a return to the studio where he's happily painting and creating art – yeah!

A modest sample of his artwork, illustration, animation, and satire can be found at www.modmanink.com.

Fortunato Procopio – Fortunato is a director of photography based in Los Angeles and New York. His work includes feature films, documentaries and television commercials.  A short list of his credits range from working with Alejandro Gonzalez on “21 Grams,” and Jeff Feuerzeig on "The Devil and Daniel Johnston,” which won the best director award at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival, to numerous commercial parodies for Saturday Night Live.  His commercial clients include MTV, NBC, Fox TV, Spike TV, and a long list of production companies and products.

Video clips and a more complete list of credits and clients can be viewed at www.fortunatoprocopio.com.

Irwin Mehlman – Big chops and a great eye, Irwin's got both. From set design and location scouting to props and styling we count on Irwin to make things look right, and to come up with solutions that make everyone else say, "Damn why didn't I think of that?" He's worked with notable directors: Samuel Bayer, Tony Kaye, and Daniel Barber. In support of clients: MTV, Reebok, Exxon, and The United Way, among many others.
